About Us
It was this realization that made us to start “National Institute of Tribal Welfare and Social Action” (NITWSA). To evolve ways by which we could help the tribal to restore their pride in themselves, to change poor their self- image to become aware of their own power. NITWSA began functioning in the tribal dominated Khandapada and Daspalla Block of undivided Puri district, presently in Nayagarh district to work for the socio-economic development of the tribal in particular. We discovered that there were number of young people who had some education but not enough to get their jobs. But a little too much to allow them to earn their livelihood as laborers. We though that this would be the starting point to create awareness among these youngsters so that they can be the against of change. There were some who were fired with enthusiasm. They wanted to do some thing for their people. However, NITWSA’s story has been the struggle to strike the right balance between activism and development.
Besides we landed to materialize our dream of development forming of people oriented income generation program and dedication to work for the development of down trodden of the society and making every possible efforts to streamline the life style to give a boost to their prevalent existence and active participation. It has marched ahead in spite of several obstructions and opposition of the selfish soul on its onwards development. Our organization has been utilizing all its resources to enhance the level of education and massive awareness to build of a healthy cultural environment endorsed to safeguard the democratic base of the poor and under-privileged class to realize the analyze the real scenario leading to wise and dependent judgment regarding the attainable matters of an individual and in group of the society .
